Admit it, you're stumped. You can't think of a thing to get someone for an upcoming holiday or birthday. When you can't think of a present, if they are a sports fan you're in luck!
Buying for a sports fan will bring forth a myriad of options that will ensure you get them a gift that they will really love. If your special someone enjoys NBA and will turn and tell you the good, bad and ugly about every player on the court, they will enjoy a basketball related gift. From an NBA licensed watch for either players, coaches or team owners to a schedule watch that can be updated via the Internet with their favorite team's schedule so they never miss a home game at the court or an away game on the tube. NFL fans can get a number of gifts. Watches always make outstanding gifts but there are other fun gifts for the football fanatic you know and love. A real window decal that lets them show their support to everyone that sees their vehicle is a fun gift they will get a lot of "mileage" out of. A scoreboard clock and indoor/outdoor thermometer is another item that weather watchers will get a lot of use out of. For the lover of all things NHL; you can get them a jersey of their favorite team or a beanbag to sit on while they watch the game. Many NHL teams have licensed their logos to watch faces for both adults and children as well as pocket watches. Many of the teams have schedule watches available that work like the NBA watches and can be updated right off the internet with the team's schedule each year. NASCAR fans will be thrilled with a banner with their favorite racer's image printed on it. Numerous drivers have licensed their images on racing jackets that come in sizes that fit both adults and children. Framed cards with legends of the sport such as Dale Earnhardt are always met with enthusiasm. Another great gift for the sports fan is a piece of history. If your special someone has a favorite sports hero, get them an authentic autographed item. Most of these items are licensed and should come with a certificate of authenticity. Generally they are also limited editions items. Your sports loving friend isn't so tough to buy presents for, use these tips and get them a present they can both use and show support for their favorite sports team each game season. by: Game Day Zone

Don't be left out of the March Madness - celebrate with your family and friends and throw a March Madness party. A March Madness party is a great way to show support for your favorite team.
First of all, make it easy for your guests to drink and dine by setting up your food in one area and doing it smorgasbord style. One or two long tables (how many you use will depend on your crowd size) that are pushed together will make a great central location for your feast for your guests. Use two table coverings, one for each color in the team - lighter color on the bottom and the darker color on the top so any stains and spills that happen to happen won't show. Make it mostly easy to eat dishes and finger foods. A March Madness party is about enjoying yourself during the game! Dishes such as smoked mini sausages, baked potato slices with ketchup and deviled eggs are all commonplace on March Madness party tables. Also, potato chips, tortilla chips and salsa and even your special recipe spicy game day chili or a hearty stew in a crock pot. Have a selection of colas, teas, coffee and for those that want to imbibe - a selection of beer and wine. For an added game day touch, use glasses that are etched with your favorite team's logo to get everyone into the spirit of game day. A banner behind your March Madness bash tables will also lend a festive air to your get together. On either end of the table have plenty of napkins, and for easy clean up - you can't beat heavy duty paper plates and bowls along with plastic ware. Many teams have licensed their logos for all makes and manner of plastic ware so you can have your team on every part of your buffet. Bring a large trash can in for the occasion that can hold everything and you'll make your clean up after your March Madness party a real breeze. Another fun option if you're throwing a smaller gathering is to have a team t-shirt for all your guests so everyone (even your token buddy that always roots for the other team) a t-shirt to show their support for your team. Throwing a March Madness party doesn't have to be a hard, headache creating affair. Keep it light and fun and remember to make it easy on yourself so you can enjoy the game along with your family and friends. by: Game Day Zone |
